Starting Jan 2021 to June 2021, MYM Chess will be conducting a monthly tournament with the top 3 winners gets to qualify for the Grand Finals on June 13 2021.

REQUIRED:

• The tournament will be USCF online quick rated! An active USCF membership is required.

• You must have a lichess (Free) account to participate for both Unrated or USCF sections.

• Please have the lichess username handy when registering for this event. 

Details:

• Open to all USCF US Member who are born in or after 2001
• Tournament link will be emailed and sent to the LIChess account upon registration. The lichess account / USCF ID will be used for USCF game report submission. No Exceptions.
• Tournament will begin automatically at 14:00 Eastern, and ends at approximately 16:00 Eastern.
• Please ensure to login lichess and Join the tournament 5 minutes before tournament start.
• USCF Rated Event – affects Online Quick rating only – not OTB Rating. OTB rating or Online quick rating (whichever higher) will be used to determine section selection.
• Zoom call will be needed to be eligible for prizes with rear-side camera view that will see the monitor and player.
• MYMChess reserves the rights to review each game to identify potential player using computer assistance during the tournament and to annul or submit as rated forfeit losses at our discretion. This is to protect other players and to ensure fairness in all of our online events.
• Standard USCF Rule Book will apply for all the game technicalities. TD’s discretion will be final.
• MYMChess has the rights to disqualify a player who violates the rules and regulations of this tournament.
• Qualifying Rounds:
  • Registration closes at 9:00PM EDT on the Saturday before each qualifying round.
  • Players already qualified for Grand Finals can only play up in future qualifying rounds and may not play in same section again.
• Grand Finals
  • Grand Finals registration will be closed on June 10 . No late entry.

GAME PLAY:

• Tournament will be done in 4 rounds Swiss system with a 15+5 time control. Next round will start automatically 2 minutes after the last game of the round is completed.
• There will be 4 Sections

  • U1000
  • U500
• Sonneborn-Berger score will be used to determine tie breaks.
• Full point bye given to to unpaired player during rounds. (Odd number total players)
