October super Sunday USCF Online QUICK Rated Chess Tournament

REQUIRED:

• This USCF section of the tournament will be USCF online quick rated! An active USCF membership is required.

• You must have a lichess (Free) account to participate for both Unrated or USCF sections.

• Please have the lichess username handy when registering for this event. 

Details:

• Registration closes at 9:00PM EDT on Saturday Oct 3.
• Tournament link will be emailed and sent to the LIChess account upon registration. The lichess account / USCF ID will be used for USCF game report submission. No Exceptions.
• Tournament will begin automatically at 13:00 Eastern, and ends at approximately 15:00 Eastern.
• Please ensure to login lichess and Join the tournament 5 minutes before tournament start.
• Analysis for all games will be available immediately after completion of each game.
• USCF Rated Event – OTB rating or Online quick rating (whichever higher) will be used to determine section selection.
• MYMChess reserves the rights to review each game to identify potential player using computer assistance during the tournament and to annul or submit as rated forfeit losses at our discretion. This is to protect other players and to ensure fairness in all of our online events.
• MYM Chess reserve the rights to adjust players in the correct sections based on their ratings and number of participants of each section.
• Affects Online Quick rating only – not OTB Rating.

GAME PLAY:

• Tournament will be done in 4 rounds Swiss system with a 15+10 time control. Next round will start automatically 2 minutes after the last game of the round is completed.
• There will be 4 Sections
  • Unrated – Open to Non-USCF only
  • U500
  • U1000
  • U1500
• Sonneborn-Berger score will be used to determine tie breaks.
• Full point bye given to to unpaired player during rounds. (Odd number total players)

PRIZE:

• USCF Rated Section (U500 / U1000 / U1500)
  • Trophies will be mailed to the Top 3 section winners without half bye points
  • Trophies will be customized with winner’s name
  • MYM Chess will conduct fair play analysis on the games, and contact the top 3 section winners over email for mailing address.

  • 1st Place – $30 MYMChess Class Gift Certificate
  • 2nd Place – $20 MYMChess Class Gift Certificate
  • 3rd Place – $10 MYMChess Class Gift Certificate

Fee:

• FREE Entry for Unrated Section.
• $15 Entry fee for USCF U500 / U1000 / U1500 Rated Sections  ($10 Entry fee for MYM Students)
